1st Day Homeland – Bucharest – Predeal
Arrival at the airport in Bucharest where you will meet with your guide and go to the southern Carpathians. On the Prahova Valley, in Azuga, you will visit the royal champagne winery and taste a few wine varieties.

2nd Day Predeal – Gheorgheni
In the morning you will visit the “Dracula Castle” from Bran. The tower height and the castle built in the 14th century served the residents of the nearby Brasov as protection against the Ottomans. You will then continue to Brasov. City tour in the center, where you will visit the most important sights: The Black Church, the Town hall. In the afternoon you will also visit the fortified church in Harman. The journey continues to the Szekler county.

3rd Day Gheorgheni – Sovata – Bistrita – Viseu
In the morning you will go to Sovata by the Bucin Pass, where you will take a walk near the Bear Lake. Sovata is a health resort, known for its salt water lakes. You will then continue to Bistrita through Reghin. In the former fortified Saxon city you will visit the historic city centre. The important sights here are the old trading houses and the Evangelical Church. From Bistrita you will go to Maramures.

4th Day Viseu
Today you will travel with the historic forest train. This forest train from Viseu de Sus is the last one in Romania, passing through a large untouched area along the Hungarian-Romanian border. The stretch begins in Viseu de Sus at the old lumbermill and goes on over 43 kilometers up to the Ukraine border at Comanu.

5th Day Viseu – Beclean – Ludus - Bazna
This morning you will visit Maramures. This region is famous for the woodcarving. You will travel through the village of Dragomiresti and you will visit the Wooden Church Bogdan Voda. Through Beclean and Ludus you will arrive in Transylvania.

6th Day Bazna – Biertan –Sighisoara- Bazna
Today it’s all about the Transylvanian Saxons. First we go to Biertan, where you will visit the biggest fortified church. Then you will visit Sighisoara. Sighisoara is the most beautiful and best preserved medieval building from this side of Europe. Here you can visit the Church on the Hill, the house where Count Dracula was born, and also Saint Mary’s Church and the Clock Tower. In the afternoon cart ride to the fortified church of Boian.

7th Day Bazna – Sibiu- Bucharest
In the morning you will go to Sibiu, where you will go by tram to Rasinari. Back to Sibiu you will go sightseeing in the historical centre. We will stroll along the streets from the old town and see the Big Square, the Small Square, the Brukenthal Palace and the Liars’ Bridge and admire the remarkable gothic architecture of the Evangelical Church. In the afternoon, departure to Bucharest, dinner with folklore program at the Pescarus Restaurant.

8th Day Bucharest - Homeland
In the morning you will visit the capital of Romania. You will visit the Patriarchal Church, the Romanian Orthodox Patriarchal residence, the Parliament Palace, second largest building in the world. Then you will go to the open air Village Museum Dimitrie Gusti, where you can admire houses from all over Romania. Then transfer to the airport, farewell to the guide and return flight.
